V is for Vulva
Healing from Our Roots
From the moment we are born, we receive messages about our vulvas and vaginas.
From our caregivers, peers, teachers, doctors, lovers, and the media, these messages affect the way that we understand our bodies. Even if we don’t consciously realize it, some of these messages might negatively impact our ability to be present in our bodies during sex, to communicate our needs, to feel safe, and to fully experience sexual pleasure.
In this three hour workshop, we’ll explore the messages we've received across the years and how they might be impacting our daily lives – and we'll begin (or continue!) the journey of releasing the ideas that no longer serve us so that we can build a more caring and compassionate relationship with these parts of ourselves.
There will be time for personal reflection, a gentle, trauma-informed yoga practice where we will bring attention to these parts of our bodies, and group discussion.
Everyone is invited to share and to participate at their level of comfort. No yoga experience necessary.
“…I must turn on the lights and welcome every part of me into the room. If I want my yes to mean yes, there can be no locked doors in the house of me.”
